DJ’S HAPPENING
DJ CHAPPEL ATELIER: SEPTEMBER 20TH - 25TH
World’s Fair Gallery is delighted to present artist DJ Chappel and his first HAPPENING. Join us on Tuesday, September 20th from 6-9pm for the opening reception and celebration of DJ’s atelier residency. The gallery will be transformed into DJ’s studio and atelier, a space to welcome friends, viewers and guests to meet the artist and witness his latest creations. Inspired by a profound lack of black male role models during his youth, DJ creates primary resources for the future gay black boy. His work ranges from wearable sculptures and artifacts to interactive installations. Using his curiosity in fashion and theater, DJ expresses and preserves his experience as a future ancestor.
